The MMQB site remembers the 2006 Saints Draft (mod edit) (1 Viewer)

King didn't write the article, Robert Klemko did.

its MMQB not King. really good read.

King didn't write the article, Robert Klemko did.

and that explains a lot.

Too bad Klemko and his editor don't seem to know the difference between "its" and "it's." Substitute "it is" and see if it's correct. In that case use "it's." It's not complicated. #grammarnazirant

King or not (and it's not), it's a good article to reminisce over the 2006 draft and realize on how many guys we hit on in that draft.

Really remarkable job coming out of the Katrina year.

Also of note, we traded back twice in that draft and it yielded great results. We ended up getting four players (2 - part of the trade back: Faine (C), and Thomas (DT), and 2-drafted: Harper (S), Evans (G)) who would all play significant roles on this team.

The iron was hot and we struck.

Too many personal feelings directed at people none of you kno personally

This refusal to "support" someone by reading a good article is right up there with.. "I hope Richard Sherman dies"

I digress.

Yeah...this Year runs Parallel with 2006 when u look at how we rebuilt the team through every avenue in both instances.

Can we capture lightning in a bottle twice is the question.

For that matter I think our best Chance at a SB may be in a year or two when this class matures much like the 06 class

wow, I havent thought about the fact that its been 10 years. what a run.

Yeah...i was 19 at the time. Joined this forum a year later at 20. Wasnt a fan of football until that season as I didnt play in HS and never watched it as a kid.

Its rediculous how much knowledge Ive attained just from this forum and wanting to know more.
