Very legit question. Maybe it's blind optimism. Who knows? Only time will tell.
What I do know is we continue to GET BETTER on defense and we are getting more and more healthy. We have at the current time the favorite for defensive rookie of the year, we have some solid play in the secondary that will only continue to improve (getting Byrd back will help Browner), Richardson has shown he is going to be a big threat on the Dline, and our LB play is getting better. There is no reason at all to think the Saints won't have an opportunity to win some games. Playing as BAD as some of you have pointed out the Saints have still be in games (EVERY GAME). So, there is not ONE team on the Saints schedule that they cannot hang with. So, winning 6 games is VERY possible. That is without another OUNCE of improvement. Improving each week could lead to more than 6 wins. Guess we will see who's right in the long run. The Saints will be 7-4 or 6-5 after week 11. I know I know, I am blind or whatever. Just watch!
I agree that the Saints are improving, but Atlanta is good. This is the NFL. They haven't beaten 4 directional schools.
