Did a quick Google and there are a ton of uses from animal feed to pharmacological to cosmetics. Seems they are easy to make profit from.

Omg, the grandkids decided they wanted to watch that last night. Of course, it was generally ho-hum but some of the trap scenes were pretty funny in a live Looney Tunes-Three Stooges way.

That same dude getting hit consecutively, straight in the forehead, with four bricks (from the top of a 4 story building, mind you) was just funny and, for the rest of the movie, elicited a steady stream of "Would that have killed him in real life" questions from the kids. It was ridiculous how much I laughed at the scene above too.
