"The Saints Ain't Sinners" (op-ed by 2 AEI economists in LA Times - merged) (48 Viewers)

Goodell abused his power. Everybody, and I do mean everybody, who knows anything about the NFL knows this. We are just the only ones who give a damn.

As if we did not know that already. We watched the games! The NFL does not care about the facts. Never did , never will. The purpose was to give a warning to the league as a whole. Is it fair? No. Do they care? No. I gave up on "fairness" working in this country after the levees broke. It is all about power, plain and simple.

I wish that you were correct.

Go to any other team's message board and post as rationally as possible that Goodell has exagerated the evidence and they will act like you just stated that Bigfoot killed Kennedy in an effort to cover up George Bush's involvement in blowing up the World Trade Center which was a distraction to mask the fact the moon landings were fake.

It is bizzare.

One of the arguments by the NFL is that the Saints were top 5 in roughing the passer penalties over three years, but they coincidentally never mentioned anything about the injury (or fines for illegal hits) comparisons.

They also didnt mention how absolutely pathetic some of those calls were.

That's a weird article. While I love the raw numbers, his conclusion (coaches ran bounty program but players didn't follow orders) is just stupid.

Thanks for posting | : )

But didn't they?

Well, none of that matters, because players aren't punished for their actions on the field. They're punished for... uh... hey, Rog, how did that go again?
