I'm ready to move on. 12 million in cap space can do some damage.
wasn't it 16m??
either way, we will get a lot better
SBXLVI :17:
so reggie agrees to 2 years with dolphins, anyone know what we get in return?
on the bright side, we got cap room!
I think we mostly got cap room and the money to sign Lance Moore to a five year deal. But, the rumor is that we are getting either a 5th, 6th or 7th round pick, which is a lot considering everyone knew that we had to cut him or pay him $16 million do dance out of bounds.
On the whole I think Loomis did a good job on this one.
If we got a 5th round pick for him, thenLoomis
I hope.
It as pretty obvious to anyone that really followed the Saints that it was almost a 100% deal that RB was gone. Of course the Saints would say all the right things about how they want him back, yada, yada yada..Kinda like how politicians say things to calm stupid people.
But at the end of the day it just made sense. It actually would have been a smart move to even trade RB for nothing. Due to trading him instead of cutting him, I believe we save a lot more room on the cap. I think this is correct.
The thing about Reggie is he doesn't fill any NEED on your team. This is a problem. If the fins think they can cut Ronnie Brown and go with their first round pick and RB at running back they are in for a surprise. They still will need another running back.
Great move by Loomis. I'm hoping we scored a lot more than we think on this trade.. We did trade him pretty fast, this makes me believe that the fins might have offered a higher pick that we expect. Then again we might have jumped at the opportunity to just trade him for anything considering how much it saves us on the cap- it bails us out.
n00b and a reggie h8rz
You just don't realize that we now have the slowest offense in the NFL and maybe all of football without Bush.
