The Walking Dead: Dead City (1 Viewer)

Another very solid, gritty, dark episode. Seeing that flash of vintage Negan when he gutted that dude was great as was watching Maggie's reaction to it even after he told her earlier that he put on those kinds of performances 'for show when he needed to'. The ziplining that I'm assuming is how it's done all over town for the most part gave me a little bit of a Bioshock Infinite feel plus all of the NOPE. I'm liking this show so far, seems like a fresh reboot of TWD minus the drawn out 89 seasons. I don't know if this is a 1 and done season show, but going with the story so far, that could easily be the possibility, and I'm ok with that 100%...

Just watched episode 3. I'm really liking this show and how dark it is...

I finally caught up. Watched the most recent 2 last night. I am liking it, mostly for the different setting and how much darker it has gone. The villain tropes are tired, but the acting is good. Not really liking any of the new characters except the marshal guy and maybe the quiet girl.

I can appreciate some of the exposition they did, but the latest episode just slogged on and was pretty boring. I really don't understand who the lady who the croat works for much either?
Really hope they can make the finale worth it...

I'd really like to see Željko Ivanek in a different kind of role.

i stopped watching whenever Negan was in "jail" so i might have missed some important stuff but how are Maggie & Negan friends??

Glen probably would not approve

Maggie is having to come around to the realization that her, Rick and all the others didn't exactly walk a pristine path, either.

They killed their share of husbands and wives as well.

But no, they aren't "friends".....she currently views him as a necessary evil to get her son back.

and also, without Negan, they would have probably never defeated The Whisperers, and he helped save Hershel once already fro the CommonWealth.
But Negan has genuinely changed as a person since he sat in jail all that time. they did an excellent job at showing this. I would love to see him and Rick together to see how that meeting would go.

Well, that was a bit better than I thought it would be...
They managed to make the new characters multi dimensional and worth caring about--primarily the deputy, almost mute girl and to a lesser extent the croat and his boss lady.
The sure oncoming battle of resources from NYC does intrigue me and could lend quite a bit to the overall story in the universe.

Does Neagan accept and go back to his old ways? IMO, he does not. He may entertain the idea, but he'll soon realize he'll have to do worse things than he did before.
I aslo don't believe he killed the Girls dad. He just said that to make her leave. I am not sure if she really believed him
