Theisman picks Steelers too. (2 Viewers)

The key to this game is our DBs hanging on to picks if given the opportunity.

NO DROPS.

because im a Saints fan...If I pick us to win, does that mean anything.. or do I need to be a broadcaster?

Well it looks like another one doesnt believe we are going to win, Golic picked against us. You guys ever get that feeling that even if by some chance the saints were to win the superbowl the media still wouldnt give us credit. I can see it now, they would say " Well the saints did win the superbowl but they still are going to need to win another one to prove to us that they are for real."

If the Saints were to win the SUperbowl this year, which I think may still be a bit of a stretch, it's likely to be viewed by some as a measure of a decline of the quality of the NFL as much as how improved the Saints organization is...

That's just because we're the Saints. But we need to cross that threshold.

The Steelers were a sorry, losing franchinse for 40 years prior to the 1970s. Perennial bottom feeders. 40 years as losers!

No one remembers that now.

It only took us 20 years to get to the point of at least having some success, although no championships yet.

I'm worried about this game too! So far this season we haven't proven that we can beat a tough, physical team like the Steelers. Look at both of our losses. The Panthers and the Ravens both play tough physical football and took us apart, and either we didn't have our best game plans in place for those two games, or we just got physically whipped. Until we beat a team like these teams which include the Steelers, everyone is gonna pick against us. The only thing we have proved so far this year is that we can beat the teams we're supposed to beat and supposedly beat two teams (Atlanta and Philly) that we weren't supposed to be able to beat. Now, we face the ex-world champs on their home turf, they're hurting and have a bad record, and you can bet they are drooling over the Saints coming into their house and being able to start the second half of their season with a win over us. A win against our Saints could well propell them into the playoffs just off of confidence alone. We lost a game like this just two weeks ago to the Ravens. I hope our team learned something from that game and don't let it happen again this week.

If the Steelers were such a good team, they wouldn't be 2-6. Their excuses sound like Haslett's from 2001-2005. "Well, if we didn't turn it over 5 times, we wouldn't have lost." Yeah, but ya did. And the Steelers do it consistently, not just once like the Saints did against Baltimore. We can smoke their corners, so that's what we should do.

Tampa and Philly are viewed as teams just as physical as the ones you mentioned and we just got finished man handling them.

I think some of you are having a hard time, like some of the "experts", giving our team there due!

I agree. And it's not like Carolina whipped us. They won by 3. Both teams played tough, but our 1 turnover gave them the extra score, not to mention Keyshawn's "catch" to extend a drive. A little luck went their way and they capitalized, but they didn't prove anything by beating us. And the Ravens, we just had a horrible game. They only sacked Brees once and we still scored 22 so it's not like they socked us in the teeth. Early mistakes put us in a hole, not their "physicality".

Have to tell you -- this game scares me -- the Steelers do not have that bad of a team -- certainly a better one than 2-6.

Personally I think this will be our toughest game to date -- its away -- Pittsburgh may be cold outside (something our guys certainly are not used to this year) -- Pittsburgh is desperate -- and have something to prove.

I think a win here speaks more than had we beaten baltimore at home

I aggree with you. This game is going to say alot about this team. I expect them to play well though.

More good news! Dr. Z picked against us! I think after that, the NFL already penciled in a W for us on the official stat log. That hot model he picks against chose the Saints, and she outpicks him EVERY WEEK! ROFL! This is great news for us.

i am beating every single one of the "experts" on espn pigskin pickem::_rofl:

I've been one of the biggest optimists all season long. But if you put a gun to my head for the right pick, I'd have to pick the Steelers too.

Only because their backs are against the wall and its at Pittsburgh. This feels exactly like another Raven game to me.

The Steelers have been there own worst enemy so far. Way too many mistakes. When they eliminated the mistakes they killed a good KC Chiefs team. They rank one spot ahead of us in total offense and a couple of spots ahead of us in total defense. They rank dead last in giveaways/takeaways with a -11. It will be very difficult to beat them on the road if they don't continue to beat themselves.
