How about Jerrod Mayo as DC? I like the idea of former head coaches being on the staff for additional input for a new HC. He's probably discussed the potential staff with Mick already.

I definitely thought about it, but he’s been with the Eagles forever. I don’t think he plans on ever leaving. I’ve watched some of his videos on YouTube breaking down OL play, he loves what he does.

Stoutland is not going anywhere. A lot depends on if Moore wants to run primarily wide zone or not , if so keeping Benton and Dennison would be the way to go, but I'm guessing Kubiak may try and take them to Sea. If they go then maybe it's time for Pagnetti to get a promotion to OL coach from Ast OL coach under Stoutland

I would rather have a former HC/DC that was actually good at one of them.

Brandon Staley has been floated around it and he makes the most sense, Moore worked under him with the Chargers so they are very familiar with each other.

Here's a tracker to show what has been going on with coordinator hiring. It looks like guys like Steve Wilks and old friend Ryan Nielsen are still out there.

Looks like Wilks will be the Jets DC. I'd be fine with Ryan Nielsen, as I feel he got a raw deal in the DA debacle with "co-defensive coordinator" shenanigans. And honestly, I respect the guy for leaving that situation and seeking higher opportunity. He's got no "former HC" skins on the wall, but I'd be fine with Rizzi being retained as ST coordinator. Because Rizzi comes from ST, I don't see a locker-room rift/power struggle as an issue; especially if Moore wanted to name Rizzi Assistant HC.

It's really hard for me to get down to the position levels, but for DC I would give a very thorough look at Aaron Curry. He did awesome in Seattle and he has turned Pittsburgh's position of weakness into their defensive strength.

I think we keep Rizzi as STC, and give him the Assistant HC moniker as well.

This would be a good look all around. He stepped up when we needed him to man the ship. He got to test the waters of being a HC. We even gave him a proper interview. Now we let him know he still has a home here and reward him with an increase in title. I'm all for it.
