Throwback - Saints vs Dolphins 2009 (1 Viewer)

I was at that game. That game is when I was convinced that was a team of destiny. Right mixture of being good and being lucky.
That game any other season would have been a loss as would the Redskins.

Posters are around here talking about how the #2 seed should've/should of (SMH) been our spot. And how we should've been playing instead of the Packers last night. I don't know what gives them that impression, but that 2009 team...

THAT team was going to take what was theirs, come hell or high water. No would, coulda, should of.

I think it was Jabari who said a few days before the Super Bowl for us not to worry if they fell behind. Think about that. How confident they were. They guaranteed us a win EVEN IF IT LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE LOSING. Multiple players told us they were going to bring home a Lombardi and I believed them.

This current Saints roster can't guarantee us anything except a headache.

90% of this roster would have played this season with a Super Bowl ring in their safe at home if the refs had done their job.
I'm talking about how the team makes me feel. Last year's Saints could've definitely won the Super Bowl, but they didn't inspire unwavering belief in me like the 2009 squad.

That was fun to watch. Those Saints were exciting... Makes me miss Colston and Devery.

Anthony Hargrove was a real force rushing the QB from the inside. He was an unsung hero from that team... I remember loving seeing him run down on KO coverage teams.

He clinched the first game against Carolina that year. We were up by 3 and they had the ball but were pinned back pretty far. So far in fact that when Hargrove got the sack fumble recovery it was for a touchdown.
