Tier 5 - update your resume/ Dennis Allen (1 Viewer)

It’s hard to argue against his ranking
and I agree with their statement. If he can't win with Derek Carr in a weak NFC South we will send him packing. I'm pulling for him since he's our coach and seems to be a geniunely good guy.

That said, I sure miss SP roaming the sidelines. I always felt even after Drew left we had a chance with SP on our sidelines.

Dennis Allen has coached some of the best Defenses we’ve seen. He’s got something going on. Yes his first year as the Saints Head coach didn’t go well.

McDaniel's is not a first time head coach. He was a fail HC in Denver when they had Tebow.

Say what you want but Tebow in the 4th quarter was glorious..lol
Also, Todd Bowles isn't a first time coach neither. He was the HC for the Jets some years back.
You misread my post. It’s the 3 first time head coaches (DeMeco Ryans and the Eagles coordinators) AND McDaniels, Bowles and the lot under DA.

I disagree. We should have won 10 games last year. Injuries wasn't the only thing to be blamed. Dennis was timid in his coaching. He was scared to take chances.
DA wasn't even my choice as HC. I wanted Pederson. But, to say DA should have won 10 games and a playoff birth with his back up QB (Andy) who we signed a one yr deal with. Is just pie in the sky BS talk. Really? In his first yr, after losing a HOF QB and a HOF coach, and have your starting QB go down in the 3rd game.

You saw that roster and 10 wins after Jamies went down? Who, in their right mind, besides Loomis saw Andy Dalton taking us to 10 wins and a playoff berth with that roster? You have lost all perspective on last season.

No, I haven't. We lost because of 1 score games, mainly because of missed field goals. No.football said also (or, Nick Underhill) that if we had just averaged 3 points more a game, we would have easily been a 10 win team.

Oh, BS. You sound silly.

I tried to write something witty to your reply, but dtc wins the internet today w/............... :ROFLMAO:

If only DA could kick.

I'm hardly a DA apologist, But Brady and the Bucs only won 8 games last yr with a very similar schedule to win the division. While it is expected that DA own his W/L record, it is wholly unfair to think he should win 2 more games than Brady and the Bucs. With back up Andy friging Dalton!

Dave is absolutely correct, the rules are geared hard towards the offense in today's NFL, if you don't take chances offensively you will lose a lot of close games.....the Saints were (I believe) close to or last in 4th down attempts....that is losing football......4-9 football....

The key to this season, with this roster (which should be a very good one) is going to be DA either realizing he needs to take chances offensively or delegating the offensive decisions to someone who does......

I will say this...the Bucs only winning 8 games had to do with Brady's cooked arm. Dead armed Brady ~= Dalton

I also think we're some risk taking away from 10 wins last year: DA was gutless...AD & PC were also gutless so the 8 win total to me shares 50/50/50 blame 50%DA, 50% Dalton, 50% PC (150% i know)....they all contributed equally to us sucking offensively last year.

What kills me tho now is (not you) everyone flipping on Dalton...8 months ago, we were told the offense runs better with him...now he sucks and Carr is going to be a zillion times better. Bwoi...What a difference it makes when he's no longer displacing your most hated QB.

I’m one who thinks Dalton and Jameis were both terrible. I’m also not a fan of Carr, just think the bar was set so low (Billy Joe low) that he has to be better.

The only coaches under DA are the 3 first-time HC’s, Todd Bowles, Brandon Staley, Matt Eberflus and Josh McDaniels.

I don’t disagree entirely, though I do think Staley should be above the lot. Collapse or no, he took his team to the playoffs last year, and was a stone’s throw away the year before.
well thats over 20% of the league.
