Today I learned that I’ve never utilized the word “smidgeon” and it doesn’t feel right coming out of my mouth. Also, I think it’s a politically incorrect and not-so-sneaky jab at persons of short stature.
“They’re super midgets, and let’s try to cover it up by taking away the “t” and adding an “on”. We’ll call it a unit of measurement but we know what we’re really talking about here.”

Ive always used the word smidge when referring to a tiny amount, never knew it was a real measrement.

When I worked construction in college we used a much cruder term to indicate a tiny amount
