Of course it is! It’s a promotion, an Assistant GM title, and a raise. How is this bad on the Saints is the question???

He has been in on the interviews and is part of the group looking for a HC. That's not going to stop a guy from looking for a promotion or from taking a promotion that was offered no matter what was going on. I mean, Moore and Brady are in the Championship games, and one of them is spending time to think about and turn down an interview for a promotion and the other spent time to apparently indicate that he wants to interview for a promotion. Ben Johnson and Glenn did interviews while preparing for playoff games. Kingsbury has so far refused any interviews, but that's really the exception, not the rule. So, I don't think it's unusual at all that a front office guy would be interviewing for other jobs when he just part of a 5 or 6 person group of people involved in a coaching search.

Not sure that's relevant as he is now committed to working for a competing organization and you don't put important decisions into the hands of people that aren't committed to your own organization.
