This is why you draft a QB high, Purdy can't carry the team without all his weapons. Brady is a unicorn. Injuries affect all teams, but if you don't get the QB right, you can forget a ring.

Tom Brady in the 6th disagrees. Johnny Unitas signed off a semi pro team. Brees and Farve in the 2nd round. I could go on and on. Drafting a Qb high is no guarantee of success. It's a crap shoot. That said, the Packers have followed your suggestion and it's working out so far. Bottom line. We just don't know.

I have not done the research but I would bet that more first round QBs don’t work out than do. Crapshoot for sure.
