Didnt realize it was on this date, but i was literally just telling someone yesterday about how i saw Ghostbusters when it was released in theaters, when i was 10 yrs old and was able to walk to the Lake Forest Plaza theater from my house, when that mall was the largest mall in the South .


ETA fwiw even as a 10 yr old i didnt really care for the movie .. still not sure why, since everyone else seemed to love it .

Never saw it in the theater. Was forward deployed to the Middle East then. I missed a few good movies over the next few years but I do remember the command getting a bootleg copy of Return of the Jedi while there, as well as Rambo 2.

I loved this show. Loved all the cast and while my friends were talking about the blonde I was talking about Janet.

i often tell my students that Shakespeare comedies are essentially 3s Company episodes - of course they don't know what 3s Company is so we just stare at each other awkwardly for a moment - not unlike Jack Tripper

I remember it well.. i remember my mom saying”Well, it ain’t exactly the last MASH” (the final MASH episode aired the previous year and broke all the tv viewership records).. but to me it was.. TC was my favorite show of all time, and to me the last TC ep was sadder than the last MASH .

Honestly I don’t remember the finale. I for sure remember the Mash finale, with Hawkeye saluting Col Potter at the end.

Some people think the argument is Chrissy vs Terri. But the real argument is The Ropers vs Mr Furley.
Although i liked the Ropers, man Don Knotts was just good.

I start to lean one way and then I go the other. I can’t recall a main cast member I didn’t like.

Im not sure what accounted for my taste in tv shows as a kid.. i was all over The Fall Guy, The A Team, Moonlighting , Matt Houston, et al but wasnt really a viewer of Hunter, TJ Hooker, Remington Steele or many others .
