I never actually saw this movie. Was it any good?

I never saw it.. but weirdly, the only thing i remember about it was that i was in high school, and that summer, the Saints had training camp in LaCrosse WI .. every week QB Bobby Hebert would write a short training camp article for the Times Picayune.. one week he talked about how the team went to the movies and saw The Abyss and really liked it, but i remember thinking he wasnt a very strong writer.. luckily he had the football thing as a day job lol..

Also, around the same time, i went to see a movie with my friends called The Big Blue which was a French film with similar themes as The Abyss, but it was atrocious.. seriously, the Big Blue is in the conversation of worst films ive ever seen, along with Body Parts and Dr T & the Women.. maybe seeing The Big Blue turned me off from ever wanting to see the Abyss .

Its worth a watch, IMO. Ed Harris, Mary Elizbetth Mastrantonio, and Micheal Beihn, you can't go wrong.

I see your worst movies and raise you a Leonard Part 6

This may be one of my all time favorite movies.

Was released in theaters today in 1988.

loved that movie as well. it's one of those movies, if I see it on one of the channels, I will 100% of the time stop and watch it.
