48 Hrs was realer and grittierit almost feels like Eddie created a whole genre (cop dramedy?) by sheer force of talent
I'm thinking Starsky & Hutch (the series) might have been a a precursor, but Beverly Hills Cop was certainly more 'real' and gritty
This shows the devastating effect depression has on its sufferers. Those with severe depression honestly believe they are so miserable that their loved ones are better off without them. You’re not wrong. I can’t watch his stuff anymore though. I see it and know he committed suicide. And I don’t want to be judging him because I can’t imagine feeling that way. I have just always felt suicide is selfish sometimes.
A friend cheated on his wife. Moved out with his new girlfriend and got divorced. She left him and went back to her husband. He tried to go back to his wife and she said no. So he put a shotgun in his mouth and pulled the trigger. His ex wife and children are left holding the bag because of his selfish behavior.
As for mental problems I am much less judgmental because I can’t comprehend being so unhappy I want to end it all, especially when damn near the entire world loves you and you’re extremely wealthy.
But for me when I see a RW movie now I remember the suicide and I wonder how long he had these feelings? Was it back when I saw him on Happy Days? Maybe Mork and Mindy? Either way I can’t watch now without thinking of him killing himself.
Don't fall for the banana in the tailpipe.
