“Girl you know it’s true…”How can you admit this publicly ?? You’re a good poster, but im serious.. that has to be the worst era in music history and it isnt close…. Until Nirvana came out with Nevermind in late ‘91, music was a vast wasteland from like 89-91… Milli Vanilli was like the Cowboys, Lakers or Bama- they represented all that was evil and wrong with music .

The music was catchy…. I have a Harley with a decent stereo and my friends just stare when I roll up with this stuff playing lol
Milli, Prince, Metallica, Hank jr, Barry white. I am all over the place
people think im odd b/c im the only person on the planet who has on their music playlist both NWA and Barry Manilow.. but anyone who’s rocking a Harley Davidson while listening to Milli Vanilli.. well, youre special too…….
there is some competition, but this is the whitest thing you’ve ever said on this board…. Until Nirvana came out with Nevermind in late ‘91, music was a vast wasteland from like 89-91…

Whenever someone says there is no value in remakes, I point to that film.A $31 million budget in 1983 honestly seems super high
I'd say Guns N Roses were good. Metallica and Judas priest were around, but I agree for the most part. ItIm not a huge Nirvana fan, mind you (with apologies to Saintman).. or should i say ‘All Apologies’.. in any case, they did revitalize music in general, regardless of ur feelings about grunge.. up until then, we suffered thru a couple years of Milli Vanilli, Wilson Philips, Britney Fox, Vanilla Ice, New Kids on the Block , Paula Abdul, Warrant, Michael Bolton…. Should i go on ? Prove me wrong .

Aside from late 60s it might be the most important era of ‘pop’ music

I do the same with Rockford files. Never watched it when it aired. But if it happens to be on GET channel on YouTube TV I'm watching it. James Garner has an interesting story. Dropped out of high school and became a merchant marine. Then came home and joined the Marines and fought in Korea. Movies and TV was his third act? This is a show that i never watched during its original airing, but started watching during pandemic , for reasons inexplicable to me, and now have probably seen every episode 3 or 4 times.. it‘s a truly terrible show, with atrocious acting and writing that is even worse- but it’s also great escapism and nostalgia, and i like having it on in the background while i catch up on work or while i sheetpost on SR .
