Before Beastmaster, Marc Singer starred as blind musician/actor Tom Sullivan in the biopic “if you could see what I hear”
Didn’t watch beastmaster too much, but See/Hear I watched dozens of times

Yup, I loved that movie. I believe one of his girlfriends was Shari Belafonte.....great movie....But I also watched the Beastmaster plenty of times....

@guidomerkinsrules did this have any impact on you? Was there a lady declaring that no one puts you in a corner?

That movie premiered the same month i started high school.. i can remember every single girl in my high school (i attended a magnet school for the arts in Florida) saw the film multiple times and i got VERY familiar with the entire soundtrack since they all would sing it at the top of their lungs on the school bus and in the cafeteria, that entire Fall of 1987.. .. the only song i ever cared for was the duet Time of my Life ; the rest of the songs i thought werent very good, and i thought the one Swayze sang was especially bad…. Funny enough , i never actually saw the movie until a couple years ago during quarantine, and i have to admit, even though im not the target demo - it was pretty good and i kinda understood the hype of why it had been so popular all those years ago .

I always felt it was a little cringy. PS was clearly much older etc.
