Analysis Top 10 TE's in 2025 Draft (5 Viewers)

For whatever it's worth. If it's a pass receiving TE needed, we can wait until a later round and get Oronde Gadsden II out of Syracuse. Son of Dolphins WR Oronde Gadsden, some draft analytics have him in the top 5 TEs in 2025. He was projected as a top 10 overall in 2023 before season ending injury. Very gifted receiver who is flying under the hype radar for 2025, as is his QB Tyler McCord, who transfered from Ohio State. If you get a moment, take a look at Gadsden's highlights. I would attach a highlights clip, but I can't find one that is condensed into one clip yet.

I see some of you wonder why Mason Taylor isn't in the top 10 list I put out. That list is just an average of 9 other ranking sites that we looked at and put together the list of the top 10 TE's. and Mason Taylor didn't make the top ten in any of them, which is totally ridiculous. That's why I change the rankings and add players that should be in the top ten and take out some players that shouldn't be ranked there. As a matter of fact one site had him ranked at #14 and as an undrafted free agent. I want to know in what world would they rank him as an undrafted rookie free agent. He may not go in the 1st round, but I believe he should go in 2nd to 3rd round. So don't fret none, I have him in my top 10.

Were some of the lists made before he played at LSU? They seem pretty bad if one had him at 14.

No, they were all made when while he was in college. They just have some analysts that I disagree with on some of their rankings. It sounds like if Taylor doesn't catch 20 passes a game and score 10 TD's a game, they aren't worth their time. I have 3 guys that help me with all this and we go through everything on a player.

Oh, cool. Even during the last game the commentators mentioned that he's tye 3rd ranked TE in the draft.

I was able to watch quite a few games over the weekend. These are the players that I was looking at.

Tyler Warren- Everything you look for in a TE.
Eli Stowers- He was pretty much ineffective for the whole game.
Mason Taylor- He played a real good game. Made some clutch catches when the game was on the line. Needs some work on his blocking on running plays.
Gunnar Helm- He made a few plays. has good hands.
Oscar Delp- made a few good catches. Needs to work on his run blocking.
Deone Walker- Thought he would have made a bigger impact. Was too high in his stance on a lot of plays.

PFF has Mason number 3

Walter Football has Mason number 2

Draft Tek has Mason number 5

Athlon Sports has Mason #4

BNB Football has Mason #3

Dynasty Nerds has him #5

I question the quality of any rankings that don't have Taylor in the top 10 TEs.

Lachey from Iowa doesn't get much press, because the Hawkeyes don't have a QB. Literally...I think last week they started an "athlete" that had been playing LB up until a couple weeks ago.

He's a big target, blocks well, knows how to sit down in the soft spot of the zones and runs well down the seam. He doesn't look as fast as Kittle or Hockenson, but it's probably pretty close.

Lotta teams are gonna sleep on this guy, cause his production this year is awful.

Tyler Warren is a do-it-all monster at PSU. He is their Taysom, just 6" taller than Taysom and a better blocker. Lines up as in-line TE, slot, wide, FB, HB and even QB.

I'd love to get him in the 2nd.

Warren and Fannin are great prospects at TE. I can't however get behind the idea of them being as good of a prospect as Bowers was. Bowers imo was the best TE prospect I had seen in 25 years of closely watching the draft. He also looks to arguably be the best TE in the NFL as a rookie playing with a bad QB on the Raiders. He is going to be a yearly 1,000 yard receiver for several years to come. Comparing guys like Warren to him I feel sets up unrealistic fan expectations if we were to draft him. I think Warren will be a very good TE, but not on that level. Definitely think Warren and Fannin are on par with guys like Trey Mcbride and Dalton Kincaid as prospects.

We'll see when he runs his 40 at the combine. If he can run in the mid-4.5's I don't see any area of his game that doesn't compare to Brock's. McBride and Kincaid also came into the league in the 6'4 240lb range. Warren at 6'6 260lb is built like an elite inline TE that can run routes and catch contested passes like a receiver while running the ball and break away from safeties like a RB. That's more of what we saw from Bowers.

Warren has amazing hands and feel for the game, like Bowers he is a footballer. I love his size. Yeah if he runs a 4.5-4.6 he will go really high. He has had several lights out games this year where he dominated.

Good list. I would add Mason Taylor and Terrance Ferguson. Jack Hawes is suppose to be the best blocking TE, he will be in Senior Bowl. A few underclassmen don't know about yet. Oronde Gadsden ll , Elijah Arroyo , Justin Joly , and Tanner Koziol. I would like to have Brant Kuithe as a FB more than a TE.
Elijah Arroyo from Miami is almost surely going pro, healthy this year and can ball. Some say he’s the best since Njoku when he came out of there. Worth a look if he’s there on day two.
