It’s just clickbait for people to come to the site. Maybe to be able to say they called it first. A lot of “poised” and “could” used in the article. In their second to last paragraph they said Saints could sign Samuel for less than the projected 46M. Basically the signing is what they want to see happen. No deal has been agreed to.

BVM is an aggregator of rumors and news. They are not writing those pieces themselves but using AI to paraphrase or reword the source of the article, in this case The Sporting News. Then BMV slaps their name at the top as if they are the author.

Asante is young but has recurrent nerve issue in his shoulder/neck. He took a collision shot in practice last season 4 games in, and missed the rest of the season.
That was probably a factor, and here's another for why Harbaugh hasn't shown interest to this point in giving him a 5th year or a real 2nd contract.
