That's what I had figured. When you apply base calculated value which figures in his age it lowers his market value. 5.5 mil. a year is about what he's worth maybe 5 mil is as high as I would go. He could be a good stop gap until you get a draft pick up to snuff.

Wow, I never would have thought Trystan Colon would have projected that high. I thought he would have been cheaper than Jenkins. He has been a back up his whole career. He didn't start last year until Will Hernandez went down with a knee injury. He only started 7 games in 2024 plus 4 games in 2023 and is now looking at $16.6m / year. Crazy

It’s just clickbait for people to come to the site. Maybe to be able to say they called it first. A lot of “poised” and “could” used in the article. In their second to last paragraph they said Saints could sign Samuel for less than the projected 46M. Basically the signing is what they want to see happen. No deal has been agreed to.
