This team has talent. Instill some enthusiasm and work to prevent injuries and football will be fun again.

look, its a pretty thought to type out but we aren't drafting another OT in the first round this year. The End.This team has needs everywhere whether it be a need to upgrade to starters or depth. They should go BPA and it will inevitably fill a need.
Even at OT, if a stud LT is there that you think is better than Fuaga, you can draft that LT and let him battle it out with Fuaga. The winners starts and LT and the loser starts at LG.
We have Fuaga, Ruiz, McCoy and Penning, we will probably draft a guard in the draft and sign one in free agency because not only should we be looking for a starter but we need to strengthen our depth behind them.any mock draft with saints drafting a tackle early can be thrown in the trash. heck, a LG is not worth the value and we have too much invested in the OL already. We need to be creative at LG and patrick is fine if healthy.
DL (edge and interior), WR, CB, and TE are all much higher needs.

I agree and edge rusher (not a 6'6 280lb one either) is needed and I hope whatever coach we hire brings a new vision to the defense where we can get more athletes on the edge and not just have lumbering guys wrestling with offensive lineman like two bears in the wilderness, we need guys with bend.
I have this nearly irrational desire for this team to become more of a hybrid 3-4 team. I think it would allow you to better use the smaller edge players that come out of college and allow you to get more speed on the field to stop QBs that can run. It also allows you to get some MLBs that are good value because they fall down the board because they might not be suited to play as the only MIKE in a 4-3.
And I think those 6' 6" 275 to 285 Lbs. DE's with the athletic ability and brains to play in the NFL just seem too hard to find and seems to lead to reaching for potential in order to fill the size requirement. They also often seem to get easily injured.
I am glad to see Penning improve every week, the right side must be his more natural position. Wasn't he projected more of a RT coming out?
