Trevor Penning is PFF’s top graded Saint; Penning is highest graded NFL OT in Week 10 (52 Viewers)

Ireland was not the problem. We have plenty of draft picks starting for other teams. The problem has always been, Dennis Allen's ability to develop players and recognize their progress, and the way we manage our money doesn't allow us to keep our talent.
End of story

Huh, i remember 99.9999999988% of yall wanting this guy gone and wanting to draft two tackles last draft. Yall said he couldn’t play RT. I was clown emojied when I suggested it. Well…….

Sorry brother you're just behind me as TP's #1 defender. I got called everything but a child of God defending him, even when I showed why and what he needed time and time again. I should have kept receipts and called every one of them out , but that would've been petty, FUN ,but petty

pretty sure i said "recognize their progress" being the caveat of the development process.

I don't mind pulling up in 3rd behind y'all. I think I posted his draft scouting report numerous times defending him. It pretty much laid out exactly what has happened with him. He needed time to develop.

I was listening to a bunch of pods on the way back from New Orleans today and one of them mentioned Penning had a pressure rate of 19% last year. This year it’s 7%. Fuaga’s is 8%.

If we don't have to keep drafting tackles this will open a lot of opportunities this year.

Allen developed players just fine, we couldn’t resign them.

Not sure about that - certainly Anzalone, Bauhn, Onyamatta, Ellis come to mind. But then there is the string of DE that have been duds. There is a big difference between listening to DA talk about the young players on the team and Dan Campbell. DA said just a short while ago the team had no "great young players." It does a lot to your confidence to have a coach who is excited to have you around and has a plan to use you rather than harping on mistakes or trying to have you play differently than what got you to the NFL in the first place. When Campbell landed Gibbs he was dancing around the draft room doing fist pumps. When Breese was picked by DA & Loomis they chewed a pack of gum.

SMH what DA said is that we didn't have any young great player , we have young players that can be developed into great players. Maybe you should post the whole comment instead of cherry picking just part of his statement.
Campbell does that because that's his thing. Payton never jumped around during the draft .
And your gum comment never happened and is just ridiculous but not unexpected from you

voluntary warm up and stretching could be pointed to for injury concerns.
A professional football player should KNOW that he has to do warm up stretching. I guess DA should have treated them like children and told them not to put their hands on the hot stove. SMH
A lot of HCs leave things voluntary

Hendrickson, Onyemata, CJGJ, Anzalone, Marcus Williams, Vonn Bell, Sheldon Rankins, Marshon Lattimore, Tyler Davison, Paulson Adebo, PJ Williams, Kaden Ellis, Pete Werner, Alontae Taylor, Baun all developed under Allen.

Most of them got 2nd contracts lol - again what are you talking about?

Even Davenport got a 2nd contract lol. Y’all want to drop feces on dudes name so bad yall just say stuff.

Even the FA’s we signed came here and played good FB under DA. Demario Davis, Mario Edwards JR, Malcolm Brown, Alex Okafor, Nick Fairley, AJ Klein, Craig Robertson. Eli Apple was a wash b4 he came here and got coached up.

He was a good/great DC. Top 3-5 in the league easily. He wasn’t a great HC

Getting back to before this thread was hijacked. Since I say this when PFF rating are low , PFF is not infallible but it's a decent guide.
My faith in TP is vindicated. I fought tooth and nail with most of this board telling almost ALL of you that wanted him either benched or traded for a bag of chips, that all he needed was to stay healthy and get reps AND a not have the abysmal OL coach that Marrone was
Did ya'll listen?? OHHH NO. I got called everything but a child of god. And low an behold he's giving up less pressures than everyone's golden child Fuaga ( who I do like )
To all those that gave be crap.
YOU CAN PUT THAT IN YOUR SMOKE AND PIPE IT. LOL
