Tush Push (6 Viewers)

I believe he didn't have to go farther than his first comment. The Eagles have a huge advantage because they
are snapping and get to move first.
The best way to nullify that advantage is to anchor and leverage against that force. It's like when facing a wind strong enough to knock you to the ground. If you try to move against it you're likely to get blown back, but if you brace and lean into it, you can stay on your feet and hold your ground.

Not saying it would work all the time. I just think it's the best way to go.

Make it a penalty, it wont stop there. Immediately flags would come at inconvenient moments when a running back or WR is fighting for extra yards down field and a teammate gets in on the scrum. And it'll be just another ambiguous penalty, and as saints fans, it'll cost us several games down the road.

I think the answer is to simply make the rule something to the effect of “Player that lines up under center and is the first person to touch the ball on a play cannot be assisted by teammates.”

Easy.

For the record, now that we have a coach that will likely teach it and use it, I selfishly no longer think the play should be outlawed. 😂

Hurts would be as successful without anyone pushing him. It's a QB sneak. Getting your feelings hurt by it is not a safety issue.

100% the best version of the tush push...sign a quarterback with a little mobility and a lively arm. Say like Deshaun Watson. And then what if you had a kicker on the field at the same time. Sign someone cheap but with a history of big game makes, maybe like Justin Tucker. Put them both on the field and the defense doesn't know what's coming. Can you imagine how good those 2 would be @ tush-pushing?!

Unrelated side question: How lenient are mods regarding first time bans?
