Pretty much. Granted that would be a 1 game scenario. If you cut Trevor, odds are he’ll still be there if needed, the same way TLL and Carr are ALWAYS available for us when a WR goes down…no one really wants them lol

Is Trevor a vested veteran and have the vested veteran rules changed in regards to week 1 roster? I think that would ultimately decide his fate. The rule used to be vested veterans contracts are guaranteed the whole year if they are on a week 1 roster. So I aside from a (God forbid) injury to one of the projected starters, that Trevor is a cut down casualty with hopes of resigning later, if needed.

There are too many people who make a living out of talking about sports on multiple media platforms, and they have to complete for subscriptions, clicks, and air time, so they over analyze every bit of info they get no matter how trivial the information is, and often create drama where there isn't any.

But hey, if they make money directly (subscription) or indirectly (clicks, air time) out of it because people like you enjoy the drama and/or the poor reporting, more power to them!

Yes, I am paying attention. It's the second time that I noticed you dogging Underhill's, and apparently all sports reporters in general, reporting. And I'll call it out because I don't think it's warranted. You commented on both Underhill's Mike Thomas article, which gave good information but nothing overanalyzed, and zero drama created (unlike Duncan's) -- and now are calling him a poor reporter because he doesn't have information on the Ty Montgomery injury. You do realize that information becomes public only when Payton wants it to, right? You literally said that he should have walked up to a trainer and asked him about the injury. I'm not going to get into why that's not possible again, but it's a ridiculously wild ask. You can call it poor reporting, but Underhill was the only reason fans knew Montgomery left on a cart, and we found out the moment it happened. Sorry he didn't have a medical diagnosis for you.

In general, the tone of your posts seem like you'd either prefer that sports reporters didn't exist, or that they should work for free? If that's your stance, cool. Careful though, when you say "people like me" you're really calling out the majority of this forum.

I really don't think it is not too much to ask from a professional reporter to find out why a player was taken off the field on a cart. You know, reporter stuff.

I don't care how much he makes either, or if he makes anything at all.

Not too much to ask? How many reporters are able to determine the results of an injury before the team even examines the player? Be somewhat realistic. Sounds like you have a beef with Underhill. How many other reporters have reported the details of the injury?

How about just simple things like "he twisted his ankle", or "his knee bent funny", or "he got hit in the head"?

Because he likely didn't see it, and he can't report something he didn't see? It's not just one long practice of 11 on 11. Position groups work out individually on different portions of the field. Can't see everything. I'm sure if he saw Ty have an awkward landing, or if his knee hyperextended during a cut, he would have put that in his tweet. Like he has in the past.
