There seems to be a love affair with Tyler Warren and I’m curious as to why it appears he’s on a different level on this board.

I’ve watched Taylor quite a bit and I find his game impressive and not used nearly enough.

Warren with a worse QB than Taylor put up double the receptions and yardage, four times the touchdowns, and averaged 2 more yards per reception.

Taylor's a nice prospect, but Warren looks like a gamebreaker.

So he got more pass attempts?

I really haven’t seen anything more than his highlights.
Is he a good blocker?

He was also force fed the ball because that Penn State team doesn’t have anyone else to throw to. Meanwhile Mason in his LSU time was competing for targets with BTJ, Nabers, Lacy, Hilton etc

Taylor is going to be one of the better TEs from this class. Jason Taylor is is dad and Zach Thomas is his uncle, it's in his blood. He was never the 1st option at LSU, usually 3rd-4th option so he's not going to have the volume like Warren who was Penn St.'s offense. Mason Taylor is who the game winning play against Alabama was drawn up for in 2023, not Nabers or Thomas.

I wouldn't be surprised if he had a really solid combine.

Plenty of ways to watch the games and watch both Warren and Taylor play, and Warren clearly separates himself from Taylor. Warren is closer to Bowers than Taylor is to Warren.

Obviously in Louisiana it is much easier to have seen and heard much more of Taylor than Warren, but Warren is very much a complete, "total package" Tight End. There's a reason he is the consensus #1 Tight End.

Personally like Taylor think he is without a doubt a 3 down TE.... You think with the succes Moore had this season he will definitely be looking for that 3 down TE

Given the depth at TE in this draft and how big of a need we have, there is no excuse for failing to come away with at least one. I’d be fine with pretty much any of the top 6 or 7 at the position. If it’s Warren, great. He’s a good player, but there are still other options like Taylor who could contribute something right away if we pass on Warren.

I love Mason Taylor. Big time fan. He’s no Tyler Warren though.

He's honestly got a little bit of taysom in him. Can take a snap, run through tacklers, even throw a little bit. How high he goes will solely come down to what he runs in the 40.

There certainly are a lot of Tyler Warren threads lately. I'm not complaining because I think I'm the first one to mention his name. As a fan of LSU, I'm fine with either; but we all know that the Saints don't draft a lot of LSU players. And because as Saints fans we can't have nice things, we're not getting either of these guys.

I'm not sure that Nuss is really a better QB than Allar. In addition, Penn State really had no other options and LSU did so that explains a lot of the production.

Warren is going to be a very good TE, and a better all around TE than Taylor, but I don't think he's going to be a game breaker in the mold of Bowers.

I’ll say it for the 1,000,000th…….I want Warren AND Taylor! The league has shifted to smaller LBs that can cover. Finding a team that can field guys who can cover two TEs is tough. Get ahead of the game. Let those two guys make each other better and it will make the job of our QB extremely easy, by providing two safety nets.
