Underhill: Saints talking with FA wide receivers (2 Viewers)

Well, it's come out that Baker apparently wasn't planning on attending OTAs, minicamp, etc. with the Browns. No wonder teams are telling the Browns they'll have to give them a pick to take him on. From first overall pick to a game of hot potato.
Dude is a clown. Over here posting a big pity post to Cleveland to get ahead of the narrative.

Can we like do something at WR....PLS.
Amen...have no idea what Mike D is thinking. JL's numbers clearly show a receiver on the decline....and apparently he hasn't noticed that teams are dumping older higher paid WRs in favor of snatching up younger, cheaper WRs via the draft....but he'd "no question" rather go all in on an older WR who you can clock w/ an oven timer over this upcoming group.

And this is our local "official" Saints radio station. Kinda sad actually.

LSU biased is really hard at the moment. I rather get TY Hilton and OBJ for $4 million each. Call it a day. Atleast they have some speed.

On sports talk today someone asked Mike D which he’d rather do. Draft a WR in the 1st round or sign Jarvis Landry. He said no question sign Jarvis Landry.
You never know about a rookie, they can be good or they can be terrible. I understand the sentiment, but a draft choice is REALLY CHEAP!

Teams are abandoning high price WR this off season. When there is smoke, there's fire. A lot of teams view this WR class as special.

I just hope we get in on this and can get our hands on a highly rated one.
If we don't. We will have no choice but to draft a WR 1st, because more holes are being created on other teams with these trades.

Mike can be a bit of a homer at times as well.

I feel like after what we saw last season, they are going to go hard after someone. We didn’t land the huge QB, might as well beef up the WR core as well as possible.

So you’d go say rookie wr and James hurst over rookie OL and Jarvis Landry? That’s basically the scenario that was being discussed.

Really liked Sanders during his time in NO. He’d probably top the list for me.

But pretty much anyone on any of these lists would be an upgrade over what we had last year. That might have been the worst group of WRs since they instituted the forward pass

Kind of a silly scenario. Hurst costs you no additional money and Landry would cost a good bit. So, the comparison makes no sense. In a perfect world, Landry is not exactly the type of WR this team needs. They could better use someone to stretch the defense. I would not mind Landry for cheap, but not at the cost he is likely to require.

And he also mentioned drafting a receiver to stretch the defense just not in the first round. Fortunately there’s more than one round to the draft.
