National and international publicity for the city takes yet another hit. Soon we'll learn how many of the dead & injured were visitors for the Sugar Bowl, and the NFL will likely be rethinking the Big Easy as a viable site for future Superbowls. It's getting harder each day to proudly tell people that New Orleans is my home town.
10 dead, 35 injured majority locals injured, driver shot 2 officers after driving into crowd
Drove around barricades, improvised explosive device found not clear if viable
Mayor called it terrorist attack, FBI says it wasn’t
They said right off the bat it was a terrorist attack. I’ll be interested to hear the motive.
Good God, what is wrong in the country??
Yep.. a little surreal seeing my hometown on the international news , here on a Wednesday night, from 9,300 miles away in my new home in Asia .
At the VERY least there should be strong consideration to making Bourbon Street pedestrian only, as has been discussed for years .. only my opinion .
That’s what the mayor said.. im not sure the exact definition of terrorism these days, but i guess if one guy acting alone is terrorism, then yeah .
Many many MANY things .
The last part is weird.
