I posted this video in a couple of other threads, but I figured I would start a new thread for it since so many on here are saying that they wish they understood more about what is currently going on. I think that it is really important that we as Americans have an understanding of the origin and operation of our monetary system and its role as the root cause of current problems.

If you have any interest in this subject I promise that you will enjoy this and feel enlightened after watching.

"Money as Debt": This does a great job of conveying a basic understanding of our monetary system. It is animated, though--so if that throws anyone off, see the video below.

Edit: Here are more videos on the same subject (including the original that I posted) I would suggest watching the one above (or the first one below) first, as it gives you a basic understanding.

"Money, Banking, and the Federal Reserve": This is another great video for basic understanding. Some may prefer it to the animated film above.

"Fiat Empire: Why the Federal Reserve Violates the U.S. Constitution": This is the original I posted and then removed for its seeming "tin foil hattedness". Don't let that throw you off though--it still gets across a great message and suggests some real world fixes to the current system.

"History of the Federal Reserve (Money Masters)": This goes into incredible depth talking about the history and evolution of money from the beginning of time with an emphasis on more recent history and causes of current problems. It is my favorite all-time documentary. Don't be thrown off by its early 90s production value or length--if this stuff interests you, you won't regret watching it.

"Creature from Jeklly Island": I haven't watched this one yet but plan to soon. It covers the same subject, just with an emphasis on alternative details.

If you get around to watching any of these, please post below to let me know what you think. I am especially intersted in anyone that disagrees with (or doesn't believe) some of the content and why. Additionally, if anyone is interested, I can suggest TONS more material on the subject.

Thanks,
Michael

That video is full of subliminal messages... I wasn't really paying attention until right there
toward the end and I don't feel like rewatching the whole thing, but if you watch it again
keep your ears open for that hushed whisper noise...

The first one I really noticed and tried to figure out was at 55:43

It either says "no law sides with you" or "Ron Paul sides with you"...

weird

Is there a way to subscribe to threads without posting anything. I just want to bookmark it so I can watch when I get home tonite.

Yep, select the thread tools button at the top of the post and then you can choose to subscribe.

Strange, I didn't notice that. I'll have to listen to that part again.

Yes! I hear it! It's right after G. Edward Griffin ends his commentary with "...look forward to that day", then there's a break and a new voice over starts with "Americans need to stay on top...". The subliminal message starts almost at the exact same time as "Americans".

I think it starts out with a very good lesson on how the Federal Reserve works and why it's bad. But then it goes on to literally define who the "illuminati" are (not by name) - although it doesn't call them the illuminati. It becomes a bit "tin foil hattish" at this point. However, if it's true that the banks really run the Fed and can just print money at will and then loan it to the government, then that's a real problem. If it's also true that there is no way to identify which banks and which people who run those banks, who are in charge of the process, then that is just downright scary.

Ok, now that I see that that video could come across as being a bit "tin foil hattish" I'll replace it with another video that gets the same message across. But as far as private banks really running the Fed--yes they do to a very very large degree. This is not some super secret thing--it's just that people don't really understand it. The Fed has private meetings which decide our monetary policy--the full contents of these meetings are NOT disclosed to the public or congress or the President. This is not speculation, it's just the way it is. Check out the Fed's own website for proof--they admit that through their tools of monetary policy they have a profound effect on every aspect of the economy. Think about that. These dozen or so unelected guys get together privately and make the most consequential economic decisions for the whole country:

I felt a whole lot better before watching both of those videos. Now I need to go tin foil my roof.

I'm calling in on the wildcard line when i get home.

I'm not really sure what this means, but I'm guessing that you are implying that these are some crazy ideas. Unfortunately, it's just the way things happen. A very few people (when I say few, I mean a matter of a dozen or so) on the FOMC have an incredibly large say over what happens in our economy. That's not a matter of speculation, it's just the way it is. Now maybe some people think that this a good way for things to operate. Maybe they think that these few can make the right decisions and we're all better off for it (I'm sure that plenty of the FOMC members actually do have good intentions). Fine. Personally, I have an interest in trying to encourage people to look in to the way things operate so they are capable of making a decision. Probably more than 95% of Americans don't have a clue about our monetary system. Sadly, it seems that, even after telling some people how it all works there seems, still, to be some sort of dissonance.

I'm guessing that you haven't watched any of the videos that I have posted. If you haven't, please watch. If you have, which parts, specifically, did you find unbelievable or disagreeable?
