We lost. Get over it. Its Falcons Hate Week! (67 Viewers)

I'd like to point out this is the first really physical Falcon team I've seen. This division has become a slugfest.

It's crazy to see the stuff after a loss, haha. The overreactions, like when we win games like we did the first two weeks, are comical at best.

The Saints are not and were not as good as they looked in the first two weeks, but they are nowhere near as bad as the panic on this board.

We will have to see if they can adjust, again. We knew we had issues on the OL, we knew that those would eventually show up. Let's allow our new OC to make some adjustments and see if it works out.

We lose to the Falcons it's still not time to panic, but louder alarms will be going off at that point.

I expected us to be 1-2 at this point and honestly expected us to possibly be 1-3 going into the TB game. We are ahead of where I thought we would be (not that that means anything).

While I predicted on here that we would lose 26-23 to the Eagles, I still like our team more so than last year. We fought hard in that game, we showed a lot of grit and when the offense absolutely had to step up and go get a TD they did so. Yes, there were a ton of mistakes and the mistake Carr made at the end of the game cannot happen. No QB at the NFL level should ever do that. However, I am encouraged and a little concerned about some things, but we have to be willing to allow the coaches to adjust.

We won't be saying this if we are fighting for a wild-card playoff berth with Philly near the end of the season.

Of course not, but all of the overreacting on Saints Report won't change it. Not saying that you have been overreacting, but the majority are. The truth is, as we see every year in the NFL. Last week means absolutely nothing going into the next week. Sure, teams try to mirror what other teams do, but the NFL and most of professional sports are all about matchups. Sometimes certain teams have the personnel to expose matchups while others do not. Sometimes you catch teams with the potential to be good teams (like the Eagles) in a desperate spot. For those of us who bet on the sport, and I know a lot about this part does not matter but it is witnessed yearly. Teams coming off a blowout win playing a team that is coming off a gut-wrenching loss usually does not end well for the team coming off the blowout win. There are decades of proof of this. Particularly when you are talking about the point spread but even the outcome.

That situation was going to be tough for the Saints even if healthy, then mix in there that you are playing a defensive coordinator with 40+ years of experience and one that is being questioned for his effectiveness, on top of some key injuries before and during the game and you get what we saw. This loss was much more about the situation and the circumstances than the Saints' deficiencies. Sucks that we are the only NFC South team to lose to an NFC opponent yesterday and sucks that we lost to the team that Atlanta just got lucky to beat. I get it. It could hurt down the road, but that is why next week is the most important game we have played probably since the 2020 season when we last made the playoffs.

Ok

Some may not want to hear this, but the Falcons are a similar team to ours, not record wise, but how they play, and attack teams.

Meh, I would kind of panic if we lose this next game. We'd be on a tie-breaker with them and who knows if Tampa wins again leaving us in 3rd place?

You play them again. The tie-breaker is irrelevant at this point.

I said 2-3 was very possible because of how tough this schedule is and to not panic. I'm gonna stick with that.

If Philly doesn't win their division, I would be shocked. The other three teams have shown themselves to be pretty much complete dreck. Philly has their issues but they are heads and tails the best team in the division and it's not super close.

This next game is way more important than you think. Because after Atlanta, we face a loud & hostile KC environment on Monday night, and then Tampa Bay after that one.

Umm, go back and look at the tape from the first time we played Atlanta last season. Their offensive line owned us.

2 turnovers and a blocked punt should have equaled more than 12 points from the offense. Plus, the Saints gave up 15 points in the 4th quarter. I'm not at the end of the cliff but there are some glaring concerns.
