I would say that he’s GETTING comfortable with it.Carr is comfortable in the offense, but the offense still lacks an identity
Too bad it’s a longer process than we expected.

It turned out to be, dare I say, a comfortable game to watch. I realized that at first I was watching it like a scared dog on his first day in the pound afraid to look a human in the eye and by the end of the game I was watching it like my furever family came and bailed me out!Passing grades all around today. I would say probably the Saints best performance all season.
All I ever wanted from Carr was adequasivity. Despite people thinking a lot of us around here were expecting Brees 2.0Carr can be an average level starter when the O-line wins their matchup.
O-line play has been the biggest problem this year.
They kinda did earlier in the yr. Then CO had some brain farts and they kinda lost it. Maybe it will get betterI don't know what it is, but Carr and Olave don't have any chemistry at all. So his snaps just keep someone else that has better chemistry off the field. It's one of the craziest things I've seen this season.
I expected him to be as good as he was with the Raiders, but i failed to take into consideration that both coaching staff's he played under there ( not counting McDaniels ) were much better than ours and that's saying something. Plus how much our Oline has regressed under MarroneAll I ever wanted from Carr was adequasivity. Despite people thinking a lot of us around here were expecting Brees 2.0
They are very likely not tearing it down completely this offseason, so we need to find some positives to end the season. Something to build on.Not saying we are suddenly going to go on a deep play off run, BUT if we are going to start figuring things out late in the season is preferable.
It could be a situation where when Olave is in the game, Carr looks for him taking more time than he should. With him out, he’s going thru his reads quicker? I know he was trying to force the ball to MT at times.I don't know what it is, but Carr and Olave don't have any chemistry at all. So his snaps just keep someone else that has better chemistry off the field. It's one of the craziest things I've seen this season.
They probably won't be here to change their opinions after one good game, but I don't know if there is a need to provoke them like this. Just be happy that he played as well as he did.The big question is will all the Carr haters, and I do mean haters because there is pure hate for the guy. Will they show up to say he had a very very good game. Or will they just sulk in silence?
Withe all the vitriol they have spewed , yeah they need to be pokedThey probably won't be here to change their opinions after one good game, but I don't know if there is a need to provoke them like this. Just be happy that he played as well as he did.
It's one game. Lots of people played better to allow Carr to play better. I've maintained all along that Carr isn't to blame for the teams issues and that he could play better than he had been, but he was only working within the offense that didn't collapse today. He didn't single handedly lift the offense out of where it was.Withe all the vitriol they have spewed , yeah they need to be poked
Yeah they just won’t show up this week. Hopefully Carr keeps them quiet the rest of the year. They probably won't be here to change their opinions after one good game, but I don't know if there is a need to provoke them like this. Just be happy that he played as well as he did.
