Say we take Tyler Warren at 14 and Tate Ratledge in the 2nd. What you think?

QB Carr
HB Kamara/Miller/Edwards-Helaire
TE Warren/Johnson/Taysom Hill
LT Fuaga
LG Ratledge
C McCoy
RG Ruiz
RT Penning
WR Olave/Shaheed/Cooks/Means/Pettis

It's not horrible, my concerns are backups since injuries are almost a guarantee and a #1 WR. I like Olave but I have a strong feeling he doesn't make it through the season without another concussion. I think the Cooks signing was insurance for this, but we still don't have a dominant #1 WR. I don't know how KM's offense is designed and what he values in WR's. We have speedsters (Shaheed, Cooks) like DeVonte Smith but do not have anyone like A.J. Brown. Plus every one of those players minus the draft choices was injured last year except Fuaga, Penning, Pettis and CEH, so we do not know how well they will perform.

With the WR's we have on the team Warren is the perfect pick. Gets you a big contested catch middle of the field weapon that can also help block the run game or in play action deep shots. He's your every down impact player. I like him better than Tet and I'll be pissed if the Panthers get him.

RB is my concern mainly because I'm done with Miller. He can't stay healthy or learn a playbook. Kamara is a great RB but at this point he needs a running mate because you can run him into the ground. Not sure if CEH is the guy to do that.

Until Olave and Shaheed can prove they can stay healthy WR depth is always a concern. Even Cooks missed time last year. It's entirely possible that we're having street FA's take WR snaps halfway though the season.

If we could find a Colston in the draft and the OL stays healthy I’ll be a little bit more excited.

But on the face of it, it doesn’t look too different from last year and with what you would assume is less production from Taysom, and a couple of injuries we’ll be in for a long year.

I think the WR room will look different from this come training camp. I will be surprised if Olave isn't traded before or during the draft.

I think Taysom will be considered either a RB, QB or not even defined at all. He's just him. I think CKM will want prototype TEs for his offense so I think this position will look different as well with a couple bodies joining Juwan Johnson and the depth TE the Saints signed already. We don't know his roster preferences but I wouldn't be surprised to see CKM adopt the same roster management practice of having 4TEs on the opening day roster.

Top end of the bottom half of the league. Like Tate but not as a high 2nd.

I like it. Maybe select a day 2 or day 3 RB in the draft to compete with Kendre and hope for a big year from Olave and we will be cooking.

Who’s better, Warren or Bowers?

I think for this time of year it’s a solid scenario provided those are the draft picks, but by opening day I’d love to see another X, RB, and a back up/swing T/G and/or G/C combo (losing McCoy would be another death sentence I think). I think with Cooks we could absorb the inevitable Olave/Shaheed injuries, but only if we had another WR (preferably big body) to take the heat off of Warren.
