What’s your take on this offensive lineup?

If we've taken Warren @ 14 that means we would have gotten a 3rd and a 5th extra. We could have easily gotten an offensive weapon like Higgins or Ayomanor or Savion Williams. Or we could have packaged the 5th and a 3rd or a different combo to move into the 2nd for Hampton or another RB
im dumb idk why i said 14, i meant 9.

I must have caught the right games, but Warren was mauling defenders on the edge during the games I watched. No…he’s not Brock. There’s only one of those guys…but Warren is a stud. He’s still a guy I’d love to have on my football team.
Yeah.. I would rewatch those games.

Here's every snap vs Ohio State

Watch this one all the way through. He has I think one pretty good block that makes you think "wow" followed by multiple whiffs and even losing to a CB 1on1.

Warren is a stud but his blocking is being crazy overhyped. He was very much a meh to low level good blocker last year.

Well it fits right in with what I've been saying , if Carter, Tet and Graham are gone @ 9 I wanted to trade back to 13 ( because I think the Colts will take Warren) and take Warren picking up a 3rd in the process. Then pick up a DT or Edge @ 40 . Then in the 3rd there should be a good big X WR available along with a OG or a OT that can make the move to OG. And maybe RB as well

Yea in most of the draft profiles on him his blocking is listed as a weakness. Not a major weakness by any means, but something that needs some work technique wise.

It's so early and so new, no one can credibly make any predictions on what the offense, or the team as a whole, is going to be.

I'm excited for Kellen Moore and the new offense. No one knew who Sean Payton was in 2006 and we went to the NFC Championship.

I'm not predicting that, but I think people are underestimating what a dysfunctional crapshow last season was.

I think the new coaching staff will get a lot more out of this team than the previous regime.

Say we take Tyler Warren at 14 and Tate Ratledge in the 2nd. What you think?

QB Carr
HB Kamara/Miller/Edwards-Helaire
TE Warren/Johnson/Taysom Hill
LT Fuaga
LG Ratledge
C McCoy
RG Ruiz
RT Penning
WR Olave/Shaheed/Cooks/Means/Pettis
Need better guards, period. Until we address both guards, the offense will struggle to be anything, but average.

If we could find a Colston in the draft and the OL stays healthy I’ll be a little bit more excited.

But on the face of it, it doesn’t look too different from last year and with what you would assume is less production from Taysom, and a couple of injuries we’ll be in for a long year.
A potential Colston (not an exact one-to-one) in the later rounds: Dont'e Thornton Jr. out of Tennessee. 6'5" and runs a 40 in the 4.3s.

The run game up the middle would be extremely weak in blocking. Ruiz is already known to struggle with it, and Ratledge did as well in college. Then at RT we have a guy who excels in it but struggles with pass protection.

I would also be extremely concerned at both RB and WR. WR is obvious for most. But RB gives me a lot of hesitation. We have a 30 year old RB1, which if history is any indication, is a bad thing. Then an RB2 that can't stay health and an RB3 who hasn't been reliable in any way outside of a handful of carries a game.

The only thing that could be our saving grace of consistency in that offense is TE if we got Warren combined with Moreau, Hill and Johnson.

We need to not only find some consistency in our line, but also at our skill positions. Either add a RB and get a better run blocker then Ratledge, or add a WR early in draft and get a better RT at pass blocking.
