One of my favorite things when I get a book from the library that is brand new or when I purchase a new book is to open it up and stick my nose real close to breathe in the new book smell. I love that smell and have since I was a kid. Anyone else have this weird habit?

How did you like it? I thought it was kind of fun, even though we all know how I feel about cats.
I have started the Atlas Six trilogy, pretty good so far...

Just finished (audiobook) Hail Mary by Andy Weir (who wrote The Martian)
Very good
Was kinda bummed that spring break hit when I had just a few more chapters left - but I’ve had to drive me down to so many rehearsals and social engagements that I was able to finish
Now I’m bummed it’s over

I just finished Michael Crichton's (finished by Richard Preston) "Micro". It was OK - think "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" but with slightly different drama. I think the ending was totally whiffed, but that is me.

After three episodes, the show is good too. Same directors and some actors from GOT. Set in London instead of China which frankly helps me with names and other references.

I really liked Hail Mary, Weir and Blake Crouch have a different take that's engaging.

Just halfway through The Gone World by Tom Sweterlitsch, completely crazy book regarding timelines and a great look and logic of time travel.

Abandoned 3Body - series and book do not link up and I was lost

Opted instead for We are legion/we are Bob - so much fun

And Children of Time is in my queue

Finished The Atlas Paradox and will be reading book 3 of the series, The Atlas Complex, soon. I am reading Echo Wife which is an interesting take on cloning wrapped in a murder mystery.

I guess maybe I read too much Fred Saberhagen back in the day, but it’s hard to believe in aliens who don’t want to come burn your home planet to a cinder

Hail Mary was good but The Martian is hard to beat
