With no first round picks next yr if the Saints have a bad season (hopefully not) what do you think they’ll do about the position assuming Winston does not improve? What free agents will be available or young back up signal callers could they get? Wish he had that pick

Probably sign a cheap vet, I wouldn’t be surprised if dalton doesn’t stick around for a year if Winston doesn’t work out. It’s supposed to be a deep draft for QBs, so we could still draft one early in round 2. Otherwise, it’ll probably be a down year and take a Qb early in 2024.

Hopefully Sean Payton wants to coach next year. Assuming he does, Saints should get at least a 1st and 2nd round pick for him, hopefully a decent bit more. 4 QB's are expected to go in the top 10. Saints have no problems trading up for a player they want so I would expect them to move up to draft one of these 4. CJ Stroud Ohio State, Bryce Young Alabama, Tyler Van Dyke Miami, Will Levis Kentucky were the 4 QB's mentioned

Forgot about that hopefully he gets back in and we can recoup the picks

For at least 2 years w/ this nucleus the Saints could take the journeyman QB route and be good for playoff contention every year in the South. Especially since Brady will retire after this season leaving the South completely unsettled at the QB position in 23

If they were smart they'd throw their hat in the QB lottery of next years draft using the compensation they get from a potential SP trade

i think van dyke may be available in the second round
