What do Saints do about Qb in the future? (2 Viewers)

Impossible to say because nobody can say two years from now what the team's organizational structure will be. Who will be the offensive coordinator five months from now? Who will be the head coach two years from now? And who will be the general manager two years from now?

Before saying who your next quarterback should be, you would like to have the coaching and managerial structure in place, a consensus on the type of offensive team you want and type of quarterback you want, and an identifying of whom you would like your quarterback of the future to be. The next two years are going to be challenging because Gayle Benson is not going to clean house after one disappointing season. We needed a reset, a totally fresh look at the team, after Payton left. Instead, we got continuity--a Sean Payton team without Sean Payton, which is akin to Diana Ross and the Supremes without Diana Ross.

Searched the QB prospects for the 2023 Draft. Some of these may stay for another year since they haven't done so well this year and with NIL money they're not hurting for cash and jumping to the NFL early.

Most draft consensus have only 3 QB's in the first round
Stroud
Young
Levis

These guys are projected 2nd round and lower. Some may jump as most due during the combine.
Van Dyke - Miami
Jurkovec - Boston College
Mckee - Stanford
Richardson - Florida (do not want)
K.J. Jefferson - Arkansas
Jaren Hall - BYU
Michael Penix - Washington (watched him the other nice and he looks really good and was leading the NCAA in a lot of statistical categories)
Devin Leary - NC State
Grayson McCall - Coastal Carolina
Hendon Hooker - Tennessee
Jayden Daniels - LSU (I'm a huge LSU fan and do not want Daniels)
Spencer Rattler - South Carolina
Jordan Travis - FSU (has vastly improved every year, a really good duel threat QB)
Kedon Slovis - Pitt (transfered from USC, hasn't played as good as Kenny Pickett in Pitt's system)
Sam Hartman - Wake Forrest
Bo Nix - Oregon (had some good games at Auburn but transferred out of the SEC as is still average)
Tyler Shough - Texas Tech
D.J. Uiagalelei - Clemson (huge drop off this year, went from Heisman candidate to WHO?)

I haven't see a lot of these guys play so I can't which would fit our team best. Plus we don't know if Pete will be our OC next year or not, hopefully not. So if we get a new OC, their new scheme will greatly determine who we may draft.
Spencer Rattler has been a bigger drop off than D.J. One year ago today Rattler was considered the top pick in the NFL draft. Fast forward a year and he got beat out in Norman, transferred to South Carolina, and no isn’t even a top 14 quarterback on your list.

That’s a drop off.

With no first round picks next yr if the Saints have a bad season (hopefully not) what do you think they’ll do about the position assuming Winston does not improve? What free agents will be available or young back up signal callers could they get? Wish he had that pick

saints rolled the dice on about 50%of their roster this year. These guys just dont gel together well. We were counting on about 10 players in key positions that had bad injury histories and it looks like we are primarily getting the injured player. It will take us 3-4 years to recover from this season. Remember the Bills about 5 years ago, we destroyed them on their field.
