Think the days of him playing QB are over with but he can still play TE ....

We'll know right away whether our new OC is worth a #$% by how he or she treats Taysom. If whomever-it-is cannot recognize his value, we'll be in for something worse than PC, who at least got that part right, but could not bring himself to reward production with more snaps. Without looking, I'd like to see what AK's YPR is with Taysom in at QB. Probably not as lopsided as I imagine, but the metrics are all there for anyone to see.
I have not interviewed for the Saints’ vacant OC position

I think it depends on who they hire at OC, but there is a real possibility he gets dealt while he has value and riots will ensue.

I don't think they ever used Taysom to his full potential but at the same time, I think using him tends to break of any rhythm an offense has. There were many times that there was no rhythm and he was all the offense they did have, but I just wonder if always having to find a way to get him involved in ways that are outside of the overall offense scheme hurts the play calling and rhythm on offense. Payton mostly did it successfully but even he seemed to struggle with it sometimes.

Plus, although it forces defenses to use their time time practice against his plays, your offense also has to spend time in practice and camp learning all the Taysom plays instead of getting down the rest of the offense.

So, I could see an new OC not wanting to work him in as a QB consistently and only using it as a surprise. Maybe they want to just use him as an offensive weapon in the run/pass game, but at his salary and age, I'm not sure it is worth it at this point.

You can bet that Payton has called Taysom a few times to see if he can get him interested in going to Denver.

Once again, like a bunch of other players, he is unmovable due to prior restructures and void years and is cheaper to keep that cut/trade. However, his cap number is still too high for the percentage of snaps he gets (36.7%), so he'll likely be restructured again and we'll talk about the same thing next off season. We may be able to move off of one of these kinds of contracts, but Taysom will/should not be one of them. He's great when he gets the ball and hopefully the next OC convinces him he's really just an old halfback / fullback.
This x100. Ain't going nowhere. I don't think we should move on. He's possibly our most impactful player on offense. But the debate is entirely theoretical because he cannot be moved.

A young bright new OC will salivate over the ways TH can be used , he's like no other player in the league but he needs the right OC soon , he's not getting younger

Again, what is our record when he gets 11-13 touches a game? Only a moron would trade him. He’s a freaking weapon!

I love Taysom Hill, but I dont see cap wise how you move on from him unless your willing to take a huge dead cap hit for a post June 1st cut, but also gain a very large cap savings.
