Wonder does the hollowed out bread make it one sandwich or another?
I thoroughly approve though.
The sesame seeds too.

Ok, I'm through discussing a sandwich that I don't know the name of

lol. It's a Pennsylvania thing. You should see the issue we have about what is chicken pot pie. Does it have a crust? Does it have noodles? (Man, I miss the food I grew up with.)

But did it make you hungry? Or did you go, as a southern girl, what in the heck IS that thing?

Not at all, looks great to me whatever they want to name it.
I haven't had the pleasure of dining in Pennsylvania but a pot pie would have crust imo.
Do you ever fix dishes from back home? I wish to God that I could still be in my grandmother's kitchen.

That's where you're WRONG!!! lol You will never find it south of the Mason-Dixon line but Pennsylvania Dutch "bott boi" chicken pot pie (so, with thick noodles) is probably my favorite comfort food from growing up.

Not really. My mom didn't make a lot of stuff (she lost her mom at 16) and didn't really teach me anything. Our family favorite Sunday or special occasion meal was ham loaf, which is another Pennsylvania Dutch thing, which her stepmother would make. I've tried it but it wasn't the same.

Someone added this pic on that same Meanwhile in Pennsylvania thread on Face book. I just love the way the meats and cheese roll up in like a spiral.

I am from York, County PA. We are known as the Snack Food Capital of the World.
The snack food really doesn't have anything to do directly with the Amish or PA Dutch, but we are separated from Lancaster County only by the Susquehanna River. Auntie Anne's Pretzels? First had them at the York County Fair long before they were in mall food courts nationwide.

I voted "OTHER". Anything that's not a Poor Boy is just a sandwich.
You know, I think that was subconsciously what made me so curious to start this poll as a yankee who got planted in the deep south. Y'all are so obsessed with your po boys and whether it's "dressed" or not and I just don't love a po boy. Never have, never will.

There, I said it.

Because I’m easy come, easy go, little high, little low
Any way the wind blows doesn’t really matter to me”….

Hey, y'all, has @Paul always been "that guy" or is this a new thing? He is just ALL OVER the place lately like I don't remember ever seeing before. lol
