What kind of tree do pecans come from? (1 Viewer)

Come-on man!!!You never had him gather pecans when he was a kid? lol!!! I don't think I learned that in school.

See that may be the problem. We did not have a pecan tree when he was a kid. When I was growing up, picking pecans was our punishment. When my got home from work, he had better not find more than five pecans on the ground.

I remember sitting on the back steps watching for a pecan to fall. :covri:

You're blaming him for blaming the schools.

It is truly a shame how many people cannot use the proper form of your/you're... I blame the schools.

That's a common one.

I see more mistakes with people thinking the word lose in sports is spell loose. You lose the game. You do not loose the game.

Or how about people thinking the word ridiculous is spelled rediculous?

It's a different world now. That was my punishment also. I was switched with a peach tree limb. I didn't know peaches came from peach trees but I quickly learned that switches did.

Ask him this question:

If a plane crashes on the border of Louisiana and Mississippi -- where do they bury the survivors.
If he tries to google it before answering -- my condolences.
However, you can sleep easy knowing you'll always have a french fry hook-up at McDonalds! ;)

That is a dtradin trademark.

I learned that pecans come from pecan trees because we used to pick them up all the time while hunting and playing in the woods. Me and my dad would pick up buckets of pecans. I was never specifically taught the pecans come from pecan trees. I just figured they did (ie lemon tree, peach tree, apple tree, etc). There aren't many classes that teach which trees certain berries and nuts come from. Guess he isnt that much of an outdoors man.
