I was watching a video on Reddit on the Saints top 10 plays of the past season, and they came against a variety of teams. It got me thinking about what would be their “signature” win of last season.

The Washington game stands out for me. When they came back and won that game, I started to think they had a real shot.

Going into Carolina and thrashing them.

The season is over if we lose.

We weren't going to lose that day.

The way they mauled Buffalo impressed me the most. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Saints just run it down the throats of their opponent for four quarters the way they did that game.

The Buffalo game, and I'm not even sure there are other choices that offer reasonable debate.

The Saints had won 6 games in a row.........and were about to play a team with a winning record on the road.......a team that was previously unbeaten at home that season. And the Saints were the favorites.

More often than not, the Saints would tend to lay an egg in those situations. They didn't somehow escape with a win, they won in emphatically-dominating fashion. It had everything you look for in a "signature win".

Buffalo with out a doubt.

That was the signature win, because that was the game that was most emblematic of what the story of 2017 was all about. The Kids, the Running Game, and the Defense.

I've never seen anything like the 94 yard drive in the third quarter against Buffalo where they Saints ran it ever single play and tore the heart out of that team.

The Falcons on Christmas eve.

That game accurately sums up 2017 in a nutshell. The announcers late in the 2nd quarter make a comment of how the Saints defense is dominating despite the low scoring. Our offense struggled on 3rd down all year and in this game, the defense did what they were doing best most of the season by giving the offense second chances to get it right. We had to grind this game out with Smashmouth offense like we had been doing all year as our strength.

13-0 at half time felt like 24-0 and despite only winning 23-13 that game felt like a 40 burger beat down without being one.

I going with Washington. That's the one that will be remembered by casual fans.

The Bills game is a good call, but I did not see it because I don’t have the Ticket and it wasn’t nationally televised.

The Bills game did it for me. Tough defense with a dominating offense was the order of the day for that game.
