When will we find out about OBJ (3 Viewers)

It'll either be him wanting to join a better QB like Russell Wilson ( but also have competition for targets with DK and Lockett) for more money

or

He wants to come to the Saints with a sketchy QB situation (and no competition for targets) for significantly less money

I wouldn't hold our breath on this news. He should definitely pick Seattle over us.
Just saying. The Saints have a better shot at the playoffs.

Beckham should be a Saint by Wed and on the practice field by Thursday giving him two days of practice to carve out a limited role while they get him up to speed.

I don’t know how quick a learner he is but it took Emmanuel Sanders a couple weeks to settle in even as a vet. Beckham potentially can provide a little more athletic juice but a 10 catch 100 yd game after 3 days as a Saint would seem like a stretch.

4 catches for 50 yards and a td is doable Tho

I think he is going to Seattle. Let him.

The more I think about this situation, the more I get irritated that Michael Thomas singlehandedly ruined any chance at a truly competitive team. Imagine what could have been done if they knew ahead of time that he wasn't going to play this year.

The team is 5-3 and in prime position for a playoff spot. This isn’t a Lions situation.

If he's after a one-year, prove-it contract, I think he'd be better off with us.
With Seattle, 49ers and other options, he'll be 2nd or 3rd string receiver at best.

With us, he'll be WR1 for 9 games, stack up stats, and have a possible post season run. Then next year he could probably go anywhere with a much better contract.

If he blows it and have a subpar season (regardless of if it's in NOLA or elsewhere), he'd have a hard time finding a good contract, I suppose.

I'm right there with you. But apart from some drastic improvements on offense which I hope happens, we'll be teetering on the edge. That doesn't mean we can't get to the playoffs. But it does mean we're likely to continue to suffer some of these tough losses that stop the team from truly advancing. We were always going to be thin this year. It's just tough reconciling the sequence of events that has led to being so weak in the passing game.

I will just say this. If the saints are serious about winning the rest of the way, they will make the OBJ signing happen no matter what. Dude has a chance to go to the playoffs and be the number 1 option. In Seattle they are a run first team with DK and Lockett as the 1 and 2, he would be a 3rd option plus the Seahawks aren't making the playoffs with the 49ers and Rams in that division. Their next 2 games are against the Packers and Cardinals, thats 2 Ls right there. Come home OBJ.

Seattle should do it just to keep Russ from complaining.
