When will we find out about OBJ (1 Viewer)

I hate to be that guy, but I’ve changed my mind and think he won’t have interest in coming here. It’s a big risk to bet his career on Simien and Hill. And OBJ has been a problem when on losing teams, which we might end up being.

I agree with this sentiment. If Winston was healthy, I think we'd have an excellent chance. IMO, OBJ wants a ring.

I agree with you and Bonchie, but I dont think OBJs priority is a ring. Its showing enough the 2nd half of this season so he can cash in next season. The rest of this season is a giant business decision for him. Nothing wrong with that, it is what it is in the NFL. I have no doubt he wants to win, but the ring is a byproduct of showing out and its a no brainer to go to whoever has a QB that can sling it. Youre naturally going to look better on a team that wins. He has an opportunity to essentially pick a QB - and like Bonchie said, Simien and Hill arent those guys.

I’m not even sure he clears waivers. There are a few teams that would pay the 7ish mil this year to have exclusive bargaining rights over his future.

Assuming he does clear, I am in agreement with those who believe he may be more a problem, than a solution, and those who believe he probably wants nothing to do with N.O.

Edit: As has been pointed out, this is likely a different discussion altogether if Winston was healthy and we were sitting @6-2 atop the south.

Anyone who thinks we actually have a chance of signing him is just setting themselves up for more disappointment.

We're just going to have to hope for our team full of "stone hands" to suddenly become much better at catching balls.
