I would also like to add Bulger, Brunell, Rypien also went on to have decent QB years of play with pro bowls and a super bowl.
I originally had Blake/Brunell/Bulger as the 2nd response just before posting. I cut it to Blake/Brunell because of similar sizes with Rattler and kind of a more realistic career beginning in roster spot and scheme than Bulger. Blake and Brunell avg TD-INT per year in Cincy and Jax was also nearly the same; Brunell had more pass opportunities.

Purdy didn’t seem comparable since he’s the last overall pick and became the starter mid rookie season due to injury. It’d be tough to project an injury to Carr

He should end up a mix of Brees/Brady/Mahommes, with ease, along with a little bit of Peyton Manning and Dan Marino.

Tacoes

He can be as good as the time and resources that they give him. If they have to throw him out there, he'll struggle. If they let him watch, learn and mature, I think that he'll be pretty good.

Blake was very good. He got injured and then Breesus was resurrected.

You left Billy Joe / Billy Joe out of the list of options.
The Billy Joes were earlier round picks expected to immediately start. They were terrible but at least Tolliver lasted in the league for a while.

I mainly listed other comparable late rounders/backups who had initial low-no expectations coming into the league. Mahomes is the only earlier drafted QB included as a play style comparison to Rattler

I'm hoping he doesn't have to worry about touching the field for a year. But while riding the bench it becomes so obvious he's the heir apparent that the team decides it's time to move on from the aging veteran.

BORTLES!!!
🤣

I was in the Dome the game Blake got killed and Brooks came in … and filled in admirably for a while at least … But Blake and the Saints were cooking and I’ve often wondered “What if his knee doesn’t get destroyed.” … I still wear my Blake 18 jersey sometimes because I was a fan
