I agree. I like Jennifer Coolidge, though.

Honestly, they almost ruined Aubrey fo me.I haven't watched it yet but, I would watch just for Aubrey Plaza.
Maybe I should've watched it then. Maybe that's what's missing. But rich people behaving badly is such a bland trope.WL was a media darling bc Mike White found a way to get a prestige-y show up and running quickly during the pandemic so people came to it for the buzz
Then there was the escapist ‘exotic’ element while we were all under house arrest
There’s also the ‘true crime’ thing that the country is obsessed with
And rich people behaving badly is a staple of western storytelling, if not worldwide
Even if you don't like the show, this was still one of the best performances of her career thus far. If for nothing else it broke her borderline typecasting of "what if Daria was a real person?"Honestly, they almost ruined Aubrey fo me.
Well sure anything is a bland trope if it’s not written/performed wellMaybe I should've watched it then. Maybe that's what's missing. But rich people behaving badly is such a bland trope.
s3 sounds like it could either elevate the story out of pulp/soap opera into something insightful or be a huge tone deaf over reach.
The plot twists were interesting eventually. I’ll watch S3.
I mostly watched it bc I miss touring Italy so muchI got through S1 fine enough. I did enjoy the escapism during the pandemic and several of the performances.
I really didn’t like S2 though.

But Succession is one of the best ‘post-covid’ shows out there
If it was a Showtime series it might be ludicrously bad
We all like amoral, midlife crisis white guy tv, but how lame has that trip been for 20 years?
MehThat's literally what Succession is.
Honestly, they almost ruined Aubrey fo me.
You could also argue that it has a lot of Shakespearean influences.Meh
I think it’s more like Greek tragedy- everyone was fated from birth
