Even if you don't like the show, this was still one of the best performances of her career thus far. If for nothing else it broke her borderline typecasting of "what if Daria was a real person?"

I saw hype again this morning about the S3 finale. We have not watched any of S3. I am guessing we're still not missing anything.

Not as strong as last season to me but I enjoyed it. The overarching theme of eastern vs western values was done really well by Mike White. And Sam Rockwell absolutely crushed in his small role.

They are just trying to make it off shock value. Very weak stories, poor character development, and awkward dialogue. All they have to offer is "OMG I can't believe they put that on TV!"

Worst part of it was I think Mike White bit off more than he could chew with all these characters and storylines. Some of which didn't even overlap much if at all, so it should've been easier to tie the story up in the finale. The finale left a lot to be desired and a lot of loose threads. The Rick/Chelsea storyline was the only one I thought was really fleshed out and put to good end. The rest felt like Mike White just straight up didn't know how he wanted to finish them.
