Why are y’all so negative? (2 Viewers)

Why are we so negative....I'll take a stab at it. Because a lot of posters here didn't agree with the obvious outcome of the offseason QB comp.

And some of us (me included) think a sprained ankle shouldn't keep you out of football for a season and a half. MT should've gotten the damn surgery in Feb/March.
I agree with MT but those are the cards the saints were dealt and here we are fighting for 1st in the division at 4-2.

It is ok to point out some short coming. Nothing negative about that.
i think the 'negavity' is about when the posters' pain/frustration/annoyance is more important to them than their insight
it's an airing of grievances instead of a discussion
and when the grievances lack support for the opinion or context of what is visually obvious, then it's frustrating to be an audience for

This team is 4-2. Am I missing something???

We’re really complaining about how much and how we win now?

Let’s get some positivity going on here. We have an above average qb, top oline, and top defense. We’re battle tested and 4-2 with a lot of backups playing key minutes. Monday night is an example of games we would lose in the past and we came out with a W. Stop b••••ing and enjoy the ride.

We take back the division lead Sunday!

AMEN AMEN BROTHER!!! Time to get healthier and keep rolling...

The Saints can’t take back the division lead on Sunday, even if they win.

The Saints can’t “take back the division lead” on Sunday, even if they win. The Bucs are 6-1. They would be 6-2. The Saints would be 5-2. Bucs would still have 1/2 game lead. SMH

I'm gonna stick up for the OP and say it's a fair critique. It's easy to feel less than "fair weather" about this season so far when we take our eyes off our record. We aren't sub .500 which is how we've started MANY Sean Payton seasons and I think we've just been Pavlov's dog conditioned into thinking we are instead of looking at the bright side. We have some W's where people had penciled in L's. But vice versa, our L's were bruisers and it doesn't feel like they've healed yet.

But we've got to get beyond that. I am remaining optimistic that we can continue our bright spot on defense and hopeful that our offense will become lit as well.

Some of Brees’s prettiest stat seasons the team went 7-9. I agree people are way too focused on stats. The only stat I worry about is the W column.
Yep. Forest for the trees, people.

Everyone is banking on this TB win. I think we win also, but I'm not gonna go all Chicken Little if we lose. Let's just hope we don't get a stadium full of boo birds if/when JW makes a bad play or Trautman pulls another J. Cook.

I remember the excitement when we had our first non-losing season!
We were in the Dome one Sunday when we lost to the Redskins, I think (I'm thinking this was Payton's first year maybe?); BUT because the right teams lost, we still clinched the division. On the way out, there was this guy still sitting there in his seat completely deflated at the loss. I said to him, Hey, cheer up, we still won the division which means we're in the playoffs! He didn't want to hear it. We bought our division champ gear on the way out -- one of the few doing so -- and even went to the after show at Deanie's. We had changed into our shirts and hat and Bobby called us out as having the "right" attitude because everybody else was still grumpy as well from the loss.

I'm generally not a peppy positive person myself, but being a Saints fan and happy for any success we get makes me feel like Suzy Sunshine.

4-2 and we have had exactly one home game.
Maybe we can arrange to play all our "home" games at Jacksonville. Oops, that didn't sound very positive at all.

Considering how we're backloaded in Dome home games, I am choosing to believe our 12th man can bring us home.
