Seems to me, they should be scared of us. How the hell are they going to cover a mixture of Shockey, Colston, Meachem, Henderson, Reggie, Thomas (Both Pierre and David), and Bell on the field at the same time? How the hell are they going to run on Ellis, once he comes back? How the hell are they going to protect Brady? We're getting lots of pressure and sacks now...

I think we match up MORE than well against them.

I'm not scared at all.

I think some people have this idea that they're superior because of past achievements. To quote my buddy's mother-in-law "I'm worried about that game. They're the Patriots."

i agree, with this Saints team its hard to fear any team in the NFL

the patriots have wes welker and randy moss

both are top 10 if not top 5 WR's in the nfl right now

plus tom brady who is a top 3 QB

and a amazing offensive line

id say thats why people are scared of them.

The Jets game gave me more confidence.

They beat them 31-14 but were given 5 turnovers by Sanchez. The INT's weren't flukey Brees types either. They were right in the gut of Pat defenders. I don't expect a repeat of that in the dome and we'll be getting two key defenders back.

I like our chances.

If we can run with success I like our chances. I am scared of the Welker/Moss/TE combo if Greer isn't healthy.

The Jets WRs were open a ton of times....Sanchez just missed them.

Drew won't. :)

And yet they still can't beat a single team with a winning record. Our offensive line blows theirs out of the water, our QB is better (according to stats this year and polls on who people would rather have), we are MUCH deeper at WR, and we have way more weapons on the field than they do. Pierre Thomas, Reggie Bush, Lance Moore, Marques Colston, Meachem, Henderson, Shockey, I mean all of these guys are capable of being strong home run hitters...

And our defense WILL come up with a pick or two, if not more. We're the most opprotunistic D in the league.

Right, and without those tons of INTS, the Jets were way in that game for a long time. I think we will simply outscore the pats, with a few turnovers from short fields.

maybe once the playoffs roll around I will "fear" a team, but right now i'm just enjoying the regular season. i don't fear pats or dallas right now in the regular season.

People have been scared of every team we played since I been on SR.com...every team makes someone nervous, or scared.

If we don't turn the ball over, we beat the Pats in the Dome. We are a better team than they are. As good as their offense can be, our offense has been better this season. And their D is not dominant like it used to be, whereas our D has become extremely opportunistic. The only way they can beat us is if we give the game away with turnovers. If we play fundamentally sound, disciplined, high-energy football, we walk away with a victory and unquestioned dominance in the NFC.

My only concern i had about the Patriots was that i didn't think the saints would beat them if they had 3 or 4 turnover in the game. Now it seems the Saints have finally shown they can get back to protecting the ball as they did in the first 4 games, my confidence that they can win the game has increased.
