It’s not Saints…..but this clip is worth watching

Bills RG O’Cyrus Torrence just STONEWALLS Chris Jones play after play.

Jones is a Watt- brothers level disruptor.

And nobody colors it like Baldinger.

Seriously, I’d almost always go OL/DL in every first round…..

Why you don't...

Because Adebo career is mostly over at boundary CB and Lattimore is gone.

CB going to be the biggest need in this upcoming draft.
Thats why we are realistically rebuilding. Loomis can sell the morons whatever but anyone with a luke warm IQ knows we are rebuilding.

I agree with both of you which is why we are rebuilding and that will take a few years before we are truly competitive again. We have holes all over the place.

Roughly 2 weeks ago to a month, i provided the OLines for all of the best teams. They only had 1-2 first rd picks on the OLine. Some even had UDFAs. You can get the most out of your players, if you have the right coaching. You don’t need first rd picks all across your OLine.

How much of that do you think has to do with how the NFL values Tackles vs. Centers and Guards? What I mean is that teams will often take Tackles in the 1st round but seldom take Guard or Center in the first round. That means that on average since all teams have two starting Tackles and 3 starting Guards/Centers, most teams will have drafted those two Tackles in the first and then gotten the Guards and Centers in later rounds or in free agency.

So, it seems to me that what we have here is correlation, not causation. Teams don't only have two first round OL because you don't need good OL, it's just that there are only two OL positions that you generally have to draft in the first round to have a really good OL.

That kind of depends on how good Taylor, Kool-Aid, and Payton finish out the year. I think Taylor can be really good on the outside, but it's going to take him some time to adjust back to the outside. And Kool-Aid is a rookie so that's going to take time to find out who he really is too, but so far he's been pretty good.

Agreed.

But there’s also “exceptions to da rule” too!

Like in 2019, when with their 44th pick, the Packers selected Elgton Jenkins C outta Mississippi St, n 4 picks later the Saints selected Erik McCoy C outta Texas A&M!
