How much of that do you think has to do with how the NFL values Tackles vs. Centers and Guards? What I mean is that teams will often take Tackles in the 1st round but seldom take Guard or Center in the first round. That means that on average since all teams have two starting Tackles and 3 starting Guards/Centers, most teams will have drafted those two Tackles in the first and then gotten the Guards and Centers in later rounds or in free agency.

So, it seems to me that what we have here is correlation, not causation. Teams don't only have two first round OL because you don't need good OL, it's just that there are only two OL positions that you generally have to draft in the first round to have a really good OL.

We don’t need Tackels. So therefore no need to draft an interior player (excluding Center obviously) in the first, just for the sake of taking one.

Roughly 2 weeks ago to a month, i provided the OLines for all of the best teams. They only had 1-2 first rd picks on the OLine. Some even had UDFAs. You can get the most out of your players, if you have the right coaching. You don’t need first rd picks all across your OLine.

You're right you don't have to have #1 picks across the OL to be very good, but the best OLs are mostly 1st or 2nd rnd picks. And it depends on the scheme. If you primarily run wide zone it's all about the athleticism of the player and having a good LT. And yes coaching on the OL is big. We have 2 of the best at wide zone in Benton and Dennison. That's why I'm big on whoever is our next HC that they keep the whole offensive staff

Because Adebo career is mostly over at boundary CB and Lattimore is gone.

CB going to be the biggest need in this upcoming draft.

You can't say that Adebo's career on the outside is over, that's purely conjecture on your part. . Kool-Aid has shown promise and Taylor has just switched to the outside after playing slot for a yr and half.
I don't think CB will be even out top 3 biggest needs. We have NO , None , Nada pass rush. Our DBs will be fine if the QB does not have 6 sec to throw the ball or they could get him down when they grab him
I feel better about Adebo coming back than Olave. Olave is one big hit away from real damage.

I think our needs are #1 DL , edge or DT to push the middle.
#2 WR /TE we desperately need a big body contested pass catcher. Even if Olave comes back who knows how long he'll last and he's not the contested catch kinda guy.
#3 LB/ S I think DD has at least another yr in him at a high level but after that who knows. And same for TM
#4 , OL depth, see what happened when we lost half our starters

It's not conjecture. A broken femur isn't just a flesh wound. He'll permanently have a rod in his leg. That effects mobility and hip fluidity

EJ Henderson broke his femur and came back to play 2 of his best yrs as a pro, and he was a LB

We draft offensive lineman every year, are starting 5 last week were all draft picks.

It's a league wide principal honestly.

When Finks started doing it, we finally got good. It's the one thing I ask out of every draft, and I'm usually satisfied. Thank goodness we aren't one of those Teams who use them on QB or WR on the regular. You can't teach size.

Man I really wish we would have traded up in the 2nd and drafted him. He has 1 of the craziest stat lines. He gave up 0 sacks over his college career starting at a small school and following his coach to UF. His senior season in the SEC and the dude gave up nothing. We need mean and nasty guards like we had with Evan’s and Nicks.
