yest he plahs great but he has not played the whole season and may not play in all the games the rest of the season (more injuries). I think he needs to carry the team for a whole season like Drew and even Matt before he can be considered. JMHO

I think the votes will be in by the next time Vick plays. I don't think there is any chance he doesn't make the Pro Bowl.

The only reason I care about Drew being named to the Pro-Bowl is that it will help his hall-of-fame bid when they list out his accomplishments. Other than, I don't care one way or the other.

Agreed. I'm pretty certain he will have his spot in the Hall regardless.

I hope he doesn't go. I don't want to risk him getting injured for anyone other than us.

I'd have to say it will be close, and if he does, he'd be the third stringer because ppl and the coaches won't be able to look past his performances from earlier in the year.

I say he get' 3rd in the peope's vote, and Mat Ryan may be more of a factor in the NFL vote (which unfortunately has more weight). That's just my take on it atm.

Links to votes by Nov. 22nd. My answer to the OP, no, of course for stated reasons above. In seriousness and taking off the homer glasses, I just don't see it happening regardless. Everyone sees the stats of Aaron Rodgers and his great fantasy numbers and is an automatic bid. ESPN loves Matt Ryan and Micheal Vick, so I think the fans start putting in many votes for those two based on the coverage they are getting from ESPN. However, props to Heath Evans. And at the threat of thread jacking what does the SR think about Jenkins chances?

Those votes are only the fans votes and once the rest are added up Vick will not be in it. Lets be real, what has Vick done to earn a pro bowl birty? yest he plahs great but he has not played the whole season and may not play in all the games the rest of the season (more injuries). You don't remember Tony Romo making it a few years ago by going 6-4 in 10 starts and not putting up stats not even close to what Vick is putting up right now?

Hopefully Tampa can put a whopping on the Falcons and Matty Ice this weekend. That would squash the "Falcons are the best team in the NFC" talk and Matty Ice in the Pro Bowl stuff.

It's the ole kill 2 dirty birds with one stone cliche.

I don't envision it. Brees is tied for third in the NFC for number of interceptions (Vick is leading with the least due to no. of games played followed by Ryan and Freeman) and we get very little media coverage down here. Had Eli played better earlier in the year he and Vick would be a shoe-in due to their markets. Green Bay gets coverage like they're a big market so I think it will be Rodgers, Vick and Ryan, the media's pin-up player of the year.

Ryan has outplayed Rodgers. If it is based solely on this year it should be Vick, Ryan, Rodgers.

With the Saints having won the NFC South, beaten Atlanta in their house, and finishing the season on a 9 game winning streak, I think Drew might just make the Pro Bowl.

I think those numbers would only take into account fan votes. That's only 1/3 of the vote. Still got players and coaches vote.

I think Matt Ryan will make a big jump with the players and coaches.

Even if that's not the counting the players and coaches' vote, Matt Ryan is currently 80,000 votes behind Drew so I seriously doubt he can just easily catch up to Drew through player and coach voting without Drew getting at least the same amount as Ryan from those guys.

I give Matt Ryan credit for leading his team atop the NFC, but it's not like he's doing something that sets him apart from the other teams or QB's in the conference that would give him a big jump. Now if the Falcons were 9-2 and we were something like 6-5, then I'd agree with you but that's not the case. The only thing Ryan has on Drew is fewer int's and that's only because Ryan takes less chances and has one of the best RB's in the league coming out of the backfield that can bail him out. As I said before, Drew is first in the conference in yards, ypg, completions, completion percentage, and touchdowns. Most players and coaches vote according to stats and when a guy is leading the conference in every significant stat for QB's, there's no question he would make it.

I'm going to say he doesn't, BUT he will come away with his second straight Super Bowl MVP.

We know it's a popularity contest.

And yet despite the fact that Drew has played for the most media hated and overlooked franchise in NFL history for the last 4 season (not counting this one) he's made it to the Pro-Bowl 3 out of 4 times. Amazing!
